Duchess Kate To Get Royal Makeover Ahead Of Australia Tour

The Duchess of Cambridge is apparently set to get a regal makeover featuring longer dresses and lots of tiaras.

According to The Mail on Sunday, the Queen is in favour of the makeover and has offered the services of her personal dresser Angela Kelly ahead of the Duke and Duchess' tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Duchess Kate is expected to be wearing a couture wardrobe of dresses with lower hemlines to make her look more royal and she will be encouraged to wear the tiaras favoured by the Queen.

Word on the street is that Kelly will help Kate to choose statement jewellery and gemstones from the Queen's collection.

A Buckingham Palace source told the newspaper: "Angela has been asked to start selecting jewels ahead of the trip. She knows most of the pieces in the Queen's private collection.

"Her understanding is crucial because the trip will be able Kate appearing more Royal than ever - you can expect to see a lot more tiaras and the Queen will be watching closely."

Dresses from some of Kate's favourite designers such as Alexander McQueen and Alice Temperley are likely to play a part in her wardrobe during the three-and-a-half-week trip and its understand she has been speaking to them about designing bespoke gowns and dresses.

The Mail claims Kate's current girlie frocks have been outlawed in place of a new grown-up image.

But some of Kate's advisors are likely to go on the tour too, including her personal hairdresser.

The Duchess's spokesman said: "It's too early to explain what the tour party will be. We are still a long way off finessing the details of the tour."

What's wrong with her now????????? She is beautiful and natural. She knows how to present herself without having somebody else to do it for her. I suppose the Queen is proud of her, even more so her own mother and they both want her to enhance what she already has- it's just a case of enhancing her lovely looks. But she is lovely already.
I know that make-up does enhance ones looks it can make one feel better. As long as her hair is not cut, her teeth and her hair are her crowning glories. Bless her.She is stylish and always looks elegant. She has such a grace about her and she will make a wonderful ambassador when she goes on tour.
She would wear tiaras and anything Her Majesty wants her to wear, with elegance I don't think anything is wrong about that. She is a Dutchess so why isn't she called Duchess instead of Kate Middleton all the time?

Kates attire is both classy and elegant. Kate always has a beautifully classic and graceful presence in public. Her hair is always well groomed and styled for the relevant event, her make up is current but not over the top. I really don't see why people cant just leave her alone. she is a 21st century working mum and royal...... She dresses are a Royal and probably due to her natural beauty wear less make up than a lot of the other royals. .... If you look at other Royals around the globe they are mostly in the 21st century...... unfortunately the UK Monarchy have yet to move into the 21st centrury. Maybe Kate should guide them......She need Change nothing...

HRH kate is a 21st Century woman and working mother. Both Classy and elegant.. The royal family need to move into the 21st century. Kates hair, make up and attire are all very classic and elegant. Leave her alone....... Look at Royals from other country's who are all in the 21st century. its just Gb that are frumpy and stuck in the past....... Kate always has a dignified graceful presence in public.!!!!!!

Given the Duchess is an attractive woman but it is way past time for her to adopt a more sophisticated and polished style appropriate for a member of the British hierarchy in representing the nation. Her hairstyle was fine for a university student as we're her above the knee, lightweight fabric dresses. She is now, however, an official representative for her country and as such she should take all care in hairstyles that reflect a higher level of sophistication and clothing that is stylish yet projects an image of conservative good taste and allows for the rigours of 'meet & greet' (bending, stooping over, battling the elements ie: wind catching her hemline). She is no longer a university student or middle-class 30-something housewife and mother but rather an official representative of her nation to the world. As such, she needs to alter her hairstyle (an updo for official engagements) and make adjustments in her wardrobe. She would also be well-advised to lighten up the heavy, dark outlined eye-make-up.

Totally agree Barbara, especially about her hairstyle or rather what hairstyle? She didnt even have anything done to it for her wedding - complete disaster, looked as if she had just got out of bed! She cant be a rebel any more, she has had free rein for long enough, time to do as she\'s told! Will is just a wimp, its obvious who wears the trousers in that household!

Leave her alone she doesn't need all these posh gowns. She is pretty and dresses well and she always looks smart. She needs to bring the Monarchy stylishly up to date not to go backwards. Good luck to you Kate stand up to them don't let them walk all over you .xx
