Alexa Chung Says 'Don't Touch Your Hair After A Breakup', Here's Why She's Wrong

Alexa Chung chatted to Stylist magazine and told them how a gal should NEVER touch her hair after a breakup. While some may think she totally has a point (see Britney Spears' post-Kevin Federline head shaving) I couldn't agree less if I bloomin' well tried... And I tried.

If I were going to take hair advice from any celeb it would probably be Alexa - or Kim Sears - but when she dished out the following forewarning I was all, "You're WRONG!" and shook my fist angrily.

"Hair is so linked to how we feel and everyone goes for something radical after a break-up, but my advice if you've just suffered heartbreak or you've broken up with someone, is to not touch your hair," she said. By this point I was feeling a little riled up.

"It's the first thing women do, but you're not in a fit state to make decisions that are long-term," she continued and I could feel the bloody rushing to my face. "You'll have to spend the next four years growing it out. Don't have a fringe cut. Don't bleach it. Don't do anything, because you will regret it." Considering the last time I broke up with someone I dyed my hair blue I feel as though I can speak from experience and say... Do whatever the ef you want with your hair.

Sure your hair is linked to your emotions, but why is that a bad thing? If it makes you feel better to dramatically change your barnet then bloody well do it. Puls, why would you want to look the same as when that douchebag you just dumped (or who just dumped you) was your man?

"Buy a lipstick instead. Go and kiss loads of other people, but don't fucking touch your hair, as you'll still feel sad - and you'll have weird hair," she continued. And while I appreciate the impact created by her casual swearing I'd be inclined to say, do all of that, dye your locks blonde and maybe get a piercing.

Just check out these celebs who changed their 'do for the better after breaking up with some guy...
