After a 1920s-inspired show on the Emporio Armani catwalk in Milan on Sunday, things got sleek and slouchy with Giorgio Armani's Autumn/Winter collection.

Black and blue were the dominant colours (there were a few flashes of lavender and grey), while cropped, boxy jackets and wide-leg trousers worn with flat pumps gave this collection an elegantly casual edge.

Mr Armani's signature gowns will no doubt have the A-listers queuing up to get their hands on them, but even these were paired with cosy, oversized berets. Perhaps comfy is the new chic?
