Backstage Beauty: Antonio Berardi Autumn/Winter 2013

Hairstylist Orlando Pita worked with John Frieda to create the beauty look at Antonio Berardi's Autumn/Winter 2013 show. "This collection has been inspired by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, so the hair is graphic and structured", he explained backstage.

And the process? "We've straightened the hair and added either a centre or side parting. I've blow dried John Frieda's All Day Hold Hairspray on the top of the hair to to slick it down and we're spraying Frizz-Ease 100% Shine on the hair in the line up, just to make the hair look glossier".

The Revlon team took care of the nails and makeup, which was equally as glossy and severe. Revlon's nail ambassador Jenny Longworth created a beautiful red nail by layering Cool Classic and Inflame, before adding a high gloss top coat for that "super wet look", while Gucci Westman worked her magic on the "super polished" skin, lip and eyes.

"I'm using Revlon's Nearly Naked foundation and powder to create a really luminous skin, with Baby Stick in pink for a doll-like effect on the cheeks", she said backstage.

"To give this look some edge, I've used the new Double-Sided Liner in white on lash and tear lines too",

As for that ultra plush red lip, Westman mixed Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in coral and red shades before adding Shine City Gloss just before the models hit the runway.

Top tip: "just add the gloss to the centre of the lip - you'll avoid any messy dripping or smudging, plus it really picks up the light".
