Do We Really Need A One Direction Film?

1D in 3D... Really? World-famous mega boy band One Direction are set to make their silver screen debut. They say it's so fans can get to know them deeper. But do we want to know them deeper?

one direction film

The film, 1D3D (great name), is produced and directed by Super Size Me's Morgan Spurlock who said, "This is an incredible opportunity and an amazing moment in time for the band." If you say so, Morgan.

"To capture this journey and share it with audiences around the world will be an epic undertaking that I am proud to be a part of," he added

So let's see what all the fuss is about and sneak a peek at the teaser trailer...

Impressed? From the looks of it, the flick will see Harry, Niall, Zayn, Liam and the other one (Louis?) followed around by a camera crew as they go about their day-to-day business and talk about how they NEVER expected such fame. Nothing new there...

We're pretty sure we already know everything we need to know about 1D, are you? If not, the long and the short of it is... They rose to fame in 2010 when they finished third to Matt Cardle (remember him?) and Rebecca Ferguson. They've sold over 14million singles and eight million albums (woah!), each of the boys is worth an estimated £20million (ka-ching) and, er, there are five of them. That's it.

Got your popcorn at the ready? Tell us whether you'll be in line to see the film?
