BREAKING NEWS KLAXON! Katy Perry is set to launch her own clothing line, but would you really wear anything designed by the popstar?

Sure, the former Mrs Brand is a bit of a style icon and we love her off the wall 'adorkable' style. However, ask us to don some of her quirky ensembles and you'll find us hiding at the back of the wardrobe clinging onto our favourite little black dress with a look of dread in our eyes.

Katy is said to be setting up a line for young women with her best pal and fashion stylish Johnny Wujek. A source apparently told The Sun, “Katy has been asked about setting up her own fashion line for years. But she’s started to talk about it seriously with Johnny now.

“They would use inspiration from the likes of Dita Von Teese and Gwen Stefani because they are sophisticated dressers – very bright and vintage-looking stuff.”

Like we said, we love Katy and Dita AND Gwen, but at the moment we're seeing a bizarre mishmash of nipple tassels, tartan and confectionary-inspired prints.
