From tomato to crimson, red lipstick is the beauty staple throughout each and every awards season and at Sunday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards, it was all about the statement-making vampy shades.
Claire Danes led the look in her Givenchy gown. She went for a rich, wine-stained colour worn with bronze eyeshadow and an eyeliner flick for ultimate vamp-effect. A beauty win? Most definitely.
Michelle Dockery followed suit with a softer version of the shade and Naomi Watts chose a lipstick with a raspberry tint to complement her silver Marchesa gown.
And that's just the red carpet. The look was prominent on the Armani Prive and Dior catwalks at couture week (hello, sparkly pouts). Then there was Burberry's Spring/Summer show. Cara Delevingne sparked a red lip frenzy when she modelled the brand's latest Lip Velvet in Military Red.
Dark, red lips might be Autumn/Winter's signature trend, but it doesn't look like it's going anywhere this spring.
