im not bothered how much hes reportly paying but surely the raf dont pay them kind of wages?if hes been beqeathed this i hope he can show that hes paid inheritance tax for the benefit of those that are really struggling in this economic climate.40% of £5000000 thats surely a whopping tax payment he should have made

I really cannot believe the spite & bitterness aimed at a person u don't even know....all because ur own existences are so shallow & money obsessed, it makes u resentful of those who have anything. I'm not rolling in it but instead of b*tching bout what u don't have, why don't u pull ur own fingers out & try making more of ur own lives,eh?? So what if they inherit money, they lost a person they loved dearly which I think they'd rather have in their lives. I doubt any of u could manage the timetable the royals run to...you'd be worn out. All wealth amongst royalty was won many years ago in various battles, be it art or gems etc...some later sold to pay other bills. The Queen pays more tax in 1 year than anybody pays in a lifetime. Stop being so bl**dy nasty all your lives...U want more, get out there & earn it...show how much u really want 2 be like them, instead of the nanny state handout option that seems most preferable to most these days. ;-)

Well newsiul, if they've got the wherewithal they're going to spend it. He's not getting a mortgage with Barclays.....couldn't live in a street like we do ...imagine the papara papperat paper photographers and Monarchy Fans and tourists and coppers and bodyguards, secret chappies...and all the litter and noise, all the burger carts and souvenir kiosks! Keep him out in the sticks where they can all go shooting things and ripping things apart.

Why a 5 million home purchase when he has access to many palaces, If he has unlimited money as a future King he could make a major donation to charity and help the poor British people. They will give him more respect than floundering wealth in the eyes of the many that are struggling to make end meets. The elderly have to sell their homes to meet their health care need. The Monarchy wealth was not created by business they have created that employees millions of people, all of the wealth goes back to the 10th Century some of the wealth was confiscated from the people and not purchased. Warren Buffet and Bill Gates are billionaires but they are donating their wealth to help others. If he is to be loved as future King shows some modesty as to your life style. In time his father or Grandmother will be teaching this boy some lessons.

Hello jfoste3........he doesn't care. He's been brought up to be one of them, look at his dad and grandad for God's sake; indeed, there will come a time when he's chief one-of-them. He thinks the reason the likes of us are here is to produce the goods that make the wealth that part of which will, by right and custom, be his. It would come as no surprise to me that secretly they still think they're appointed by God. In truth, the job is nothing but a sinecure....a very profitable one.

I went to WIndsor castle with my Girlfriend who is from Taiwan.
That was when I lost the spirit to support the Royals,they are so detached from life as we know it.
Yes she loved the experience, but, to me, I will never go to any Palace or Stately home again.
2 Worlds, ours, and theirs.

Kate Middleton seems to be a nice person. However, a 5 million pound present does show the extremes of wealth and poverty in Britain. Whilst millions of people are struggling to pay their heating bills and had no money to buy presents, others have the money to buy a 5 million pound present. Clearly this crisis in Britain means that only some people in Britain are suffering from the crisis and not others.

Maybe we, that is anyone with any money, should all throw it in a pile for thise who have nothing to take what they want. Please advise what would this solve. Answer is nothing.
For example if a dust encrusted person who stank and was fleaa ridden knocked on your door and asked for food and clothing and money would you invite him in. Until you can answer yes, please make sensible posts.

Our family are so delighted to see HRH Prince William bought a house to our future Queen HRH Princess Catherine. We wish them all the happiness under the sun and pray to God to give them long, healthy and happy life. Princess Catherine please enjoy every minutes of it and you do deserve it all. Why should I be sarcastic when talking about our Royal Family, if you only pay a little attention, they all do so much for the country. I Genuinely respect and love them, whatever I’ve said is the reality and expresses the fact about our wonderful future King and Queen.

Do ridiculous Huffpost remove posts after about four or five pages? I posted earlier, a simple non offensive post and it has been removed, do certain posters on here have the opportunity to remove posts that do not match their particular views? I stated that I couldn't believe the number of pro monarchists who go home to their cold houses for want of cash to pay the gas bill, and then eat beans for dinner, for want of cash to eat a substantial meal. Frankly I find this truly amazing..

I think you will find the money William is spending was a part of his inheritance from his mother who left the boys a considerable amount between them. It has nothing at all to do with the tax payer but I do agree with your comments about Kate. The rest of us have to live in the real world

A private house where nobody can see them?? I think thats code for so Kate can pose in the garden for photographers again. If she needs to pose nude why does she have to go and buy a 5million pounds house.

Can they not buy a 1 million pound house in the country and set the 4 million to the side so they can tell the tax payer they dont want to scrounge out so much next year??
