Water Baby: Cat Deeley Stars In Pantene's Aqua Light Ad

Pantene has taken the name of its latest hair care range quite literally for the new ad campaign starring celebrity ambassador, Cat Deeley.

For the Pantene Pro-V Fine Hair Aqua Light range (note the "aqua light" reference), Deeley is submerged, Little Mermaid style, in her first photo shoot underwater. The result? A stunning, sparkling swimmer but we're still trying to work out how she held her breath, swam in sequins and got her hair to do that flowing-in-water thing.

Ha! I'm not sure they do Brian. I expect they call it , "Grab people's attention with an attracative woman, encourage comments, increase your readership and your "hits" on the website and thence increase your advertising revenue." But then, I'm an old cynic! :-)

I have always loved Cat Deeley, ever since her days with Ant & Dec on the saturday morning show, especially their version of "friends" called "chums", where she played "Cat the dog" She is always so natural, and friendly in what ever she does, a real "girl next door". I wish her well

No, Cat Deeley is not as famous as those stars of 60 years ago once were, but then again in those days you had go to the cinema to see them in mainly American films.
Ms Deeley is a TV presenter and in the 1950s WE didn't have a TV at home, but in this Century we nearly all do. Don't recall any of them working with Ant & Dec either?

I am grateful to you also. Thank you. I'm afraid I can't keep up with all these 'celebs' they seem to come and go every day! I am getting too old perhaps, although I have occasionally seen Ant and Dec, I can't believe they can get top billing, although I don't wish them any personal disrespect or harm, but wish them good luck in all they do.
My teens were starting at the start of the '50's So I am not a very good judge of what is popular and going on now, and quite honestly I do not try! However, I recall older people, when I was a youth saying similar things that I find myself saying now, i.e. about Frankie Laine, Guy Mitchell and Eddie Fisher et al. Anyhow, I thank you for putting me somewhat (street?) wise. :))
