Masterpiece Or Disasterpiece: Gemma Arterton's See-Through Lace Gown

Who? Gemma Arterton

What? Gemma, granny called and she wants her slip back? Former Bond girl Gem certainly stole the show (but not necessarily for the right reason) as she attended the tribute to Jonathan Demme at the 12th International Marrakech Film Festival, in Morocco. The actress stepped out in an altered Marios Schwab gown which, although it was gorgeous, really didn't do her any favours. Through the sheer lace, an old lady-style nude slip could clearly be seen, not much of an optical illusion there Gem.

Verdict? We know Gemma was just trying to hold on to her modesty, but perhaps she should've steered clear of the see-through stuff altogether. Gem's penchant for nude paid off in the form of her studded Louboutins .

One more style note, we wonder how long it took Gemma to match her lippy to the exact colour of her dress... and her hair?

Dress sense is what the Duchess of Cambridge has an innate sense of proportion and tastefullness. This gal does not have it and as a result her garment does not do justice to her figure. Sadly I sense instead a desire for attention. My mother is also equally unimpressed and she knows a thing or two.

I wouldn't call it see through, there is a flesh coloured dress beneath it. It suits the girls figure and I see nothing wrong or 'sizzling' about it

Gemma is an English rose and would look good in anything she chose to wear. I have to admit to being rather partial to her as a St Trinian and I don't think I'm alone on this one.
