We're toasting the man of the hour because it's official: Balenciaga has named Alexander Wang the brand’s new creative director. There was talk, but now it's all action after WWD confirmed the move with Wang's comment: “I am deeply honored to embark on this new role for a brand and house that I have such great admiration and respect for”.
What will Balenciaga’s Autumn/Winter 2013 women’s collection look like with Wang's innovative touch? The possibilities and potential is endless, but we're sure to be stunned by the whole ensemble.
It's not only Wang sending us into a fashion frenzy, but this morning Jean Paul Gaultier announced plans to launch a new younger line of street wear for Spring/Summer 2014. Oh you do tease, we can't hold out that long JPG! Look out for some killer grungy-glam style, think dungarees with mesh and net detail.
