Myleene Klass Goes As Cinderella To Drapers Fashion Awards

Get updates from MyDaily Staff:

We didn't realise the Drapers Fashion Awards was a fancy dress party?

Apparently, Myleene Klass thought it was, and went as Cinderella, or was it the Sugar Plum Fairy?

myleene

The musician was pretty-as-a-picture but somewhat OTT in her gold lace-covered dress by Jacques Azagury, which featured an enormous, full skirt.

Ahead of the bash at London's Grosvenor Hotel, Myleene tweeted thanks to her "fairy godfather" for the creation:

She finished the look with pretty side curls and flawless makeup.

What do you think? Gold overload? Or golden moment?

HERE’S A NEWS FLASH: ISN’T SHE “BRAND AMBASSADOR" FOR STAR-RITE CHILDREN'S SHOES?--Yet her legs look severely bowed, deformed.--Like ballerinas who spend years "on their toes", constantly wearing high heels puts the wearer "on their toes" too. The tibia and fibula shin bones literally bend from trying to keep the person balanced, upright and walking. After years of forcibly altering one’s posture, serious problems develop in the foot bones, joints, ligaments and muscles, as well as the spine, the hips, the back, etc. Even internal organs are affected from the poor posture, and it's actually painful to return to sensible shoes because the body has reshaped itself away from a natural skeletal structure. When it comes to health, it’s just sheer vanity to select a poorly made designer label over good common sense. YET "wunder-mum" IS A **SPOKESPERSON** FOR HEALTHY CHILDREN'S FOOTWEAR?? NOT MY KIDS!! When posing for frontal photos, persons put the most damaged leg behind the other to try to hide it. Side-angle photos show the deformity most, unless the person bends the leg at the knee, again, to hide it. I DON'T THINK SHE’S A GOOD SPOKESPERSON FOR CHILDREN'S SHOES. I'm repulsed by this company and will NEVER buy what they sell BECAUSE THEIR DECISIONS ARE OBVIOUSLY BASED ON THINGS OTHER THAN TRUE FOOT HEALTH FOR KIDS. She gets rich while making FOOLS OF THOSE WHO HIRE HER TO PROMOTE THEIR BRANDS--Great Brand Ambassador you have there Star-Rite (WRONG!)!

Hoff, have you read some of the comments by Deb J?
03:43 PM on 11/28/2012
Your question to HP is odd don’t you think in retrospect?…They own the website and moderate the blogs…If you are offended by someone having an opinion that differs from yours, that seems equally strange--Consider the purpose of this comment section--HP actively seeks to gather public opinion and feedback, even emailing its readers (like yourself) when their comments have been replied to. What is more, they moderate comments before posting (despite your efforts to restrict any negative press about KlASS to the point of criticizing HP's operation of their own enterprise). I totally agree that you should not criticize someone you aren't familiar with--You have no knowledge of me, my professional background, dealings with her and subsequent conclusions which, though admittedly get rather wordy at times, are in agreement with the majority of other HP readers of this article. If you were to remove commentary on the “dress” and focus on the wearer of said dress, you see she’s not well liked by many more persons than just myself. We all have our opinions; I have mine and you have yours, and they differ.

Hi Debs
Now I realise why your comments have been of such nature and so plentiful.
Your statement:
"I totally agree that you should not criticize someone you aren't familiar with--You have no knowledge of me, my professional background, dealings with her and subsequent conclusions.....",
goes some way to explaining your reasons.

When I read some of your earlier comments, it did cross my mind that there were reasons behind them and I did wonder whether you knew her". Obviously, there was no way of my knowing whether or not you had "dealings with her". If I had known, then I would not have made any comments.

Critical comments are frequently made about celebrities by people who do not know them. However, I saw your comments as different from the usual.

Thanks for explaining the reason behind your comments, I agree that I am not appropriately placed to get involved in what appears to be a personal matter. I do not know either of you, apart from what I read on the Internet about her and her valuable charity work.

I wish you the best of luck.

Someone needs to tell Cinderella the ball has been over for a while now and it's time to go home...alone...and work on her scrapbook.

Why is it when someone makes an effort to look good they are accused of being over the top. Its such a shame because I think she looks great!
07:16 AM on 11/23/2012
Yes - so does she !

Everyone has their own opinion, and everyone needs a friend, so I'm glad Klass has you, because the rest of the paper-reading public got tired of her a LONG TIME AGO. CLOTHES DO NOT MAKE THE PERSON and people have long seen beyond the "paint job" (dresses, hair and makeup) and realize what a shallow, redundant, self-absorbed person is all about...Hence the reason Klass has a publicity agent--To get her bookings and photo ops. Her constant attention seeking, the exaggerations, her flamboyant body language, her dealings with others, her insatiable and infantile need for media coverage and attention...says all we need to know. She's a UK Kardashian, manipulating the media just to get her face in front of the public so she can sell her JUNK and take millions from hard-working persons in the countries that carry her products.

Yeh!! lets bring back the binbags!!
She looks lovely, and you can't handle it!
03:20 PM on 11/27/2012
I think we **can** handle it actually--Just choose not to. Some are fooled by an outward appearance, while others look deeper than that.
04:49 AM on 11/23/2012
I thought it looked like a Cinderella dress but that was in no way a critiscism - agree that the shoes are awful tho!
02:20 AM on 11/23/2012
Not the best dress sense
02:12 AM on 11/23/2012
like they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, what ever that means,i think she was christened with a cricket bat.
02:52 PM on 11/27/2012
Amen. Damaged goods, old news...What a terrific publicity agent this person must to be able to market her.
12:57 AM on 11/23/2012
What a cruel and mean thing to say, that she looks like 'Cinderella' or 'The Sugar Plum Fairy'.

I think that she looks very nice!, elegant and has created a 'ballerina' look with that beautiful dress of hers!.

In fact, I would go further..., this is one of the most beautiful dresses that I have seen on this post in a very long time.

I think the article title was meant as a compliment...at least Klass would take it that way:She lives in some"Touch Me and POOF" Cinderella world anyway. As for the Sugar Plum Fairy, doubt she even knows that that's about.
08:41 PM on 11/22/2012
Gorgeous girl, she could wear a bin liner and pull it off, why are people so jealous and catty?
05:21 AM on 11/23/2012
You need to ask?
05:58 PM on 11/27/2012
You are very wrong to assume if someone doesn't like Myleen KlASS they are automatically jealous and catty. I don't like her, plain and simple. I've done my homework and know WHY I don't like her. Not jealous and don't like her. Not catty and don't like her. I don't like her. HER I dont' like. She' s a serpent. And THAT critical detail does not show up in pictures--but her personal life and dealings with others proves it. Unfortunately most people only get a look at the superficial frock and workings of a good makeup artist (who can take a female dog and make her shine) and think what they see is what she's about. Had all the personal experience with her and those who hire her to last a lifetime.

Seriously love, you've got issues!

windoleene, just stick to your music.
06:19 PM on 11/22/2012
Pretty dress; silly big clod-hopper shoes.
06:27 PM on 11/27/2012
She must have 9" toes like most dragons if we're able to see them so far from the end of those shoes--Yet she totters on in her YSL's!!! This is a person paid to promote healthy children's footwear?...Her message: Far more important to have a designer brand that you can drop for the papers to print than a practical choice that won't permanently dishape and deform the tibia and fibula bones of your lower legs...Mummies, protect your babies from anything SHE sells! Star-Rite shoes made complete *&$&% of themselves in hiring her to promote their brand.

I think she looks lovely, how refreshing to have a celeb wearing a dress that covers her flesh shows how good you can look if you are natural beauty a shame more do not try looking this way
04:59 PM on 11/22/2012
Mylene's a very pretty girl, and she's wearing a very pretty dress - not OTT at all.
06:37 PM on 11/27/2012
The dress may be nice, but she's arsenic packaged to sell as parfum. Without the bling and blab, she's an ultra-childish NOBODY playacting, hoping someone will take her picture or let her show off in front of a camera or somef microphone. That's why even a good designer dress (as this may be) will get trashed if SHE's wearing it. She brings down everything she touches unless it directly profits her bank account or colossal ego.
