What? We want to be nice, we really, really do... The Liz & Dick premiere was an opportunity for Lindsay to showcase a youthful, fabulous, head-turning look. The outfit was, indeed, head-turning but, unfortunately, for all the wrong reasons. Where to start? The bias-cut dress: an extremely unforgiving silhouette that (probably) only supermodels should attempt; the colour: a complete washout; the hair colour: ageing; the bejewelled cutout bustline: unflattering; the fabric: nightie material. Need we go on?

Oh, go on then, just one more: the dodgy hemline that looks like it's been sewn up by a 10-year-old in textiles class.

Verdict? Must try much, much harder.

why be so mean? she's been out looking far worse than that - she made an effort, nothing is on show and she looks healthy enough, whether it suits her or not is a matter of opinion, it's not obviously terrible it just might not be everyone's taste. how can you call it embarrassing!!

"every decent caring person went 'faux' decades ago" ??? There is NOTHING decent and caring about faux, it is the most evil polluting stuff. You obviously haven't a clue about how faux fur , and indeed most artificial textiles are made. The raw materials, the synthesing into textile, the dyeing, the flame retardants, the toxic by products, the toxic waste waters, the creation of totally new chemicals in the process that are never found in the natural world, the thousands of years these things stay in the environment. Compare faux with real fur and it's a no brainer. Fur is a natural product of the animal kingdom, and like most things provided for us by nature is infinately preferable to man made stuff.

Oh! you are worried about the killing of fluffy animals. Well I have news for you. Fluffy animals are being killed by the millions the world over by other animals every day. It's how Nature workd and sustains itself.
