Kate Middleton Reportedly Snubs Clothing Gift From Kim Kardashian And Sisters

What? Oh Kate, haven't you ever heard the expression 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth'?

It seems the new Dorothy Perkins line created exclusively by the Kardashian sisters has fallen short of the mark in the Duchess of Cambridge's eyes. Apparently failing to secure the royal stamp of approval, Kim and co's offering to Princess Kate was promptly sent back.

A source reportedly told Marie Claire, "Kate is hardly going to turn up for an event with the Queen in a cheap leopard-print miniskirt or gold sequinned jacket." Oooh burn!

Verdict? Although Kate is accustomed to the high street we're sure she would've preferred a parcel from the likes of Alice Temperley or Alexander McQueen.

Given Kate romps around half naked on holiday and as far as I know the Kardashians do not, she is in no place to turn her nose up at any gift of clothes whether she adornes herself with them or not!

Well said.

I agree, she should have accepted this gift graciously regardless of whether she wore them or not. The Kardashians wouldn't have got any publicity if Kate didn't wear them and wasn't photographed in their range. Wouldn't surprise me if the Kardashians started this rumour to give their clothing line a much needed push!

Regardless of whether someone is rich and/or famous manners and common courtesy cost nothing.

Common courtesy has nothing to do with it, the real etiquette was broken by sending the gift of their clothing line in the first place. Even top designers don't send their clothes to the Royals, its the royalty that make the first move.

Where do these stories originate from ? IF Kate had received and sent back a present from the Kardashians does anyone really think she would have told the press ? Would even the Kardashians admit that a present they had sent was returned as unwanted ?

if this is true then thank god our lovely Kate sent it back she should have also sent a note sayin its cheap and tacky
could you imagine suddendly these wannabees would want to meet for lunch/have sleepovers at Kates
have several men in their lives all because our lovely duchess wore one of their dresses.

I don't think the Duchess sent it back as a snub at all, it just wouldn't have been deemed appropriate for a royal to promote a product in this way.

Someone involved with promotion of the Kardashain line had a bright idea. "Let's send the Duchess of Cambridge a freebie!" he said. "If EVER she wears it in public we can then do the 'Duchess wears Kardashian' publicity thing, claim a 'royal endorsement' and get vast amounts of very good publicity for nearly no cost at all!"

The Duchess, however, was wise enough, or well advised enough, or both not to fall into the trap of being a 'free model' for the Kardashians.
