Four Dresses In One Day: Pippa Middleton Turns Book Launch Into Fashion Show

She's often happy to let her sister steal the show, but yesterday Pippa Middleton made the most of her moment in the spotlight as she promoted her new book, Celebrate, in no less than four different dresses.

She kicked off promotional proceedings at Foyles bookstore in Fulham in a futuristic, abstract-print number by Paper London, costing £395:

Moving on to the Daunt bookshop, she switched into an elegant, maroon dress by Roksanda Ilincic that looked like she meant business:

Soon after, she emerged in a glamorous LBD by Markus Lupfur to host a children's Halloween party in the store. This was the first shift from formal to fun fashion, and she looked ready to party:

But it wasn't the show-stopper of the night; that role was filled by the tweed and black Stella McCartney dress Pippa chose for the evening bash at the store, where she was joined by her brother and parents, while sister Kate kindly stayed away to let Pippa get all the attention.

The book arrived this morning. It's in hard-back and the material is well presented. I find the games and cookery instructions well explained : they are also beautifully illustrated and cheer one up. It would be very useful in churches, schools, homes and work-places. She has certainly got brains.

I never realised there was a restriction on the number of times a person may get changed in a day. Particularly somebody who is spending time in the public eye. Just watch, then next time PM turns up in the same dress as today the Huff headline will be "PM works same dress twice!!" Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Please accept my apologies for the offensive comment I made earlier this afternoon : I take it all back and Pippa dresses very sensitively and appropriately. Her book sounds great and I look forward to receiving a copy that I ordered from Waterstones. A delay in receiving this copy and undue delays in a lot of other things currently made me feel a bit frustrated. I apologize for my comment of earlier on this afternoon, but I do sometimes get the impression that there are those who are out to make Life very difficult for me.
