Last, but certainly not least in the fashion week calendar, comes Paris and in a word, the Spring/Summer 2013 collections were spectacular. As usual, the beauty didn't disappoint either. From Pat McGrath's seriously stunning eye makeup at Dior to Jean Paul Gaultier's 80s icons, here are our favourite highlights from the Paris shows:

    <strong>DIY hairstyles</strong> At Balmain, Chanel and Chloe, the hair was swept-back but in a simple, low-key way. From DIY plaits to loose, tucked under ponytails, uncomplicated hair was a big hit on the Paris catwalks.

    <strong>The no mascara, bright lip look</strong> The no mascara thing is a trend that just won't go away. At Haider Ackermann, Rochas and Dries Van Noten, the look was paired with a bright shade on the lips and bold, angular brows.

    <strong>Coloured-in eyes</strong> At the other end of the spectrum, eye shadow was smudged around the eyes at many of the shows. From the subtle, terracotta lids at Chloe to the metallic, icy blue at Chanel, it was the eyes that were making the statements on the catwalks. No where was this more obvious than at Gareth Pugh, where an eerie, blood red was smeared around the eyes.

    <strong>Dazzle at Dior</strong> If Raf Simons' debut Dior ready-to-wear collection was minimalistic, Pat McGrath did exactly the oppposite on the makeup front. Creamy eyeshadows in fuchsia, orange, turquoise and yellow were adorned with sparkling beads, while the rest of the face was left bare. These eyes did all the talking.
