Time for a trawl through the fashion albums of yesteryear - why not perch on our chaise longue and take a peep with Uncle Fashion Priest!

Sharon Stone
This look is as at home in 1992 as it would have been at LFW 2012. Leopard print plus a bouffant bob? Tis the body and blood of Fashion. This is the exact kind of fearless fabulousity I'd like to see Scarlett or Cameron try out. This look is about volume, in every sense of the word.
Cher
This is why the 70's were my favorite decade in fashion and this is a Cher-tastic relic of pure style. Cher did hipster before Zooey D was even a twinkle in her father's eye. That shaggy fringe is perfectly punctuated with the hint of the gold hoops peeping out. Don't even talk to me about those flairs and more importantly, why can't I wear that sofa?
Billie Holiday
How do you ensure a permanent place in the fashion relic annals? Style your hair with three faux blooms, one victory roll and then take a picture with a boxer dog in a studded collar. Billie ticks all of my 'icon' boxes and tops them off with jutting collarbones and carefree grin.
Kelly Kapowski
I've said it once and I'll say it again, Kelly Kapowski is the unsung hero of early 90's television. That tropical floral print mini is gag-worthy. In a good way. And that unintentional dip-dye, those elfin features and that ostentatious posing are a veritable recipe for the relics.
Stella & Liv
OBSESSED. Just look at that ferocious fashion snarl on McCartney the Younger while Liv maintains an air of utter self-entitlement. Loving this absolute gem of a snap. Remind me to hold this over Stella to ensure my FROW status.... for life.
Carla Bruni
I have very strong feelings about fur. It should either be used for undergarments or not at all. If you feel differently, you have clearly never attended Fashion Week in Paris in mid-February in a cassock.
Gwen Stefani
Ever wondered where Daphne Guinness got her hair-spiration from? There is absolutely nothing I don't like about Gwen's bindi & trackie chic. And we all know that Aggy Deyn would simply kill for those custom patent boots. Gwen is a perpetual fashion over achiever. Fashion Priest salutes you. (We priests do that, right?)
McQueen
Vintage McQ. Not just a fashion relic, the fashion relic. The look that launched a thousand East London interior decors.
Drew Barrymore
No, I don't just love it for the crucifix choker, silly. Drew did gothic chic before it was the AW 2012 'look du jour.' I love the whole 'smoking behind the bike shed' element and that peroxide bob. To quote my favourite religious leaning musical, "Scarlet lips and heavy brows...these are a few of my favourite things."
Helena Bonham Carter
Move over Alexa! Who knew that a young Bonham Carter did school girl fashion with such flair? It's a glorious relic, complete with braces, sailor collars and oversized hair bows. Front row (of the classroom) chic.
Debbie Harry
Now THAT is a high-waisted jean! I can just hear American Apparel turning in its grave. Lets give a little round of applause to that bowler hat and the ripped-in-the-armpit baseball tee. Also, did anyone else see that handbag on the chair? Miss Harry, I bow down before thy eternal style.
