Carol Vorderman: Cowardly Lion?

Get updates from MyDaily Staff:

We were just flicking through photos of Carol Vorderman (like you haven't done the same on a Thursday afternoon) and came across this snap from earlier in the day. Are we the only ones reminded of the Lion from The Wizard Of Oz? In a good way, of course.

I can't help ignoring all the vanity rubbish and instead see the big positives in this very intellegent lady. All my 5 children became mathematics experts as a result of watching her maths videos and all passed GCSE maths with grade "A" at ages 12 to 14 years. Two went on to gain PhDs in mathematics and physics respectively in top universities and the other 3 gained 2 x 1st class and one upper second class Bsc Hons in mathematics.
Thank you for your help Carol Vorderman. Even now, I strongly recommend these old videos to parents for their children.

i was in school with carol.same age.and if im honest i look 10 years younger.no botox or surgery boob job .just cleans.tone and moisturise day/nite and lets be honest let nature take her course having wrinkles is un avoidable and adds to your character why would you want to mess about with what god gave you.be happy with your lot.there are people out there with real face issues/birthmark/scars etc.if they have no problem why should we.yes you can have facelifts every time you see a wrinkle but your neck and hands give your age away.be happy life is to short .grow old with grace because i would rather look my age than some 50 year old wanting to look 30.all that make up must take hours for her to look flawless on screen

What a horrible mess. Why allow one's photograph to be taken when this end result is on the cards. Or maybe some nasty pap sneaked this one with a telescopic lens. Sue them Carol!!!

Just shows how much prep she has done before appearing in front of the camera. It must takes hours.

On a quiz show the other night, a fellow competitor said that she looked younger than she had done some years before.

She doesn't now.

Big hair on a woman of her age looks ridiculous - and fake in colour, fullness and texture. Age gracefully, Carol - it'll pay dividends in the end.

agree with you totally

I am certainly no fan of carol vorderman, but I find this general trend of belittling middle-aged women for appearing in their natural state ,without hair-straightening or much make-up a nasty and disturbing trend.

You are quite correct.
