The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in Singapore this morning, to kick off their nine-day tour of Asia. While Team MyDaily had been hoping for big things on the fashion front from Kate (could she try colour-blocking like her sister?), it hasn't got off to a good start.
The Duchess arrived at the Singapore Botanical Gardens in this baby pink design from Jenny Packham and frankly, it looks a 1980s dressing gown with shoulder pads to us. However, style aside, we can see why she chose it.
If you look closely, the dress is embroidered with an orchid print, which ties in well with the fact that the royal couple were at the gardens to view an orchid dedicated to Princess Diana. In fact, the style actually reminds us of a dress that Diana wore in 1983:
So now we see where Kate was going with this outfit - a tribute to her late mother-in-law. A nice touch, but not her best style moment to date.
On the upside, we do love Kate's second outfit of the day...

Have you understood yet? Your stories mean nothing. My stories and comments equally mean nothing. These articles and your readership must have a brain range that means nothing. It is not needed.
It is NOT enough just to think that you should just not reply to meaningless pap on the internet or anywhere in the media, but there again it is very important in terms of the undermining of the value of real jobs doing real things and making real stuff that those who try to make a living out of meaningless crap are made aware that they are destroying the economy. Do something real, make something real, create something real, quoting or reporting on reality happening is so goddam easy it is in reality worth sod all.
To liken it to Diana's dress is ludicrous - they are nothing alike.
