A new series of the Jonathan Ross show kicked off last night and the guest line-up was pretty starry.

Kelly Brook, Jessica Ennis, Usain Bolt, Tom Daley, Rita Ora and Colin Farrell made up the green room, taking it in turns to chat to Jonathan while simultaneously looking impossibly glossy.

Tom Daley caused a stir when he jokingly turned up in a shirtless collar and swimming trunks, describing it as his version of smart/casual.

Jessica Ennis was gorgeous in a printed gold pleated skirt and black top, while Kelly Brook kept her curves under wraps in a stylish LBD.

We should be proud of both Jessica and Tom, stop moaning on these threads and for once stand up for the achievments of a few of your fellow countrymen. They have done great things and worked amazingly hard to achieve them competing against the rest of the world. Would like to have seem you lot getting up for training at 6am, 6 days a week for a minimum of 5 hours a day!!!!!

I saw the show last night and it was very entertaining however poor Kelly Brook, she looked fab but oh dear she is certainly not the brightest light so all credit to her that she at least looks good, but she would certainly not be on my dinner guest list!!

He obviously has issues and wants to be the centre of attention despite the other sports people in that company being much more accomplished and creditable, probably a touch of inferiority complex, which is not surprising really

I think Jess Ennis looks really nice. She should be so proud of what she has achieved. She will have a wonderful future ahead and she has the right 'down to earth' attitude to do herself proud.As long as no-one tries to dress her up like Kelly Brook, she'll be alright!!

Had I been in and seen it I would have complained. This proves... NOTHING to do with Wossy.. its the little idiot athlete showing off. Sorry, NOT interested anyway.. Olympics was a glorious waste of time and money except for the ending ceremony.. how much has it helped the economy, now they say maybe in five years time from the tourist trade boost it`ll have. Rubbish.

Hillarious.. my niggle is with the fella in swimming trunks.. not with Wossy. Whose idea was it and it made the media of course. I honestly couldnt care less and look forward to watching it. I got fed up with seeing the slo mo shots of Tom diving......... I`m a normal bloke, I`m expected to get excited by seeing a young well toned male diver am I? Thats all.. thanks for the replies anyway.. given me a laugh. I`m 61, male and not a lover of athletics? Very sorry for that.

I like Tom's outfit best!! lol. Everyone should just calm down, He's 18yrs old and having a laugh. He was on the TV in less when it was being broadcasted worldwide and no-one complained, why bother now? Good for Tom I say, you don't see divers in the limelight very often so why not have fun with it now that he's made it?

Not only does Tom Daley has an amazing physique he is also highly intellegent, which is more than has to be said for one or two of the guests. Good luck to him in his career and life in general _ a great guy and a credit to his late father.

Agreed, he is a bright astute young man. Whoever advised him (no doubt Jonathan Ross, and his pitiable ratings chasing team) to appear on the set undressed have done him no favours, or his sport, at all.

I agree it smacks of exploitation to me, they didn't ask Usain Bolt to appear in his running gear, he would have declined to do so. I think Tom Daley was being used to boost ratings, and maximise his exposure, no pun intended. Diving is not a televised sport so he won't be in the limelight for long.

What is it with TV shows and presenters wanting to see their guests strip half naked - haver they got no respect for their guests on the show? Or do the guests have no morals, values and principles. Is it just for titillation. Can't persons be respected for who they are and by not have to show some naked ass or boobs? It's all a bit sickening I think. What happened to the elegant educated guests who take pride in them selves for their own achievements and success. Who respect who they are. Not cheapen themselves by having to show more flesh.
