From the sublime to the outlandish, MyDaily checks-in to the latest openings in the world of fashion hotels and designer suites, including the most expensive room in London and a hotel completely styled by fashion students.

Armani Milano, Milan
As sharp and tailored as an Armani suit, the Armani Milano has all the cornerstones of a luxury hotel, including providing guests with access to 24-hour lifestyle managers. The hotel takes over the upper four floors of the Armani flagship store on Via Manzoni and represents the perfect lifestyle extension to the Italian's signature brand of minimal elegance. Luxe touches include goatskin leather upholstery, glossy lacquered furniture, in-room CCTV so you can see whose knocking on your door, Armani-branded water bottles, and a gourmet restaurant which over looks the Duomo. Find it: Via Alessandro Manzoni, 31Milan, Tel: +39 02 8883 8888, www.armanihotels.com
Bulgari London
In the heart of Knightsbridge, London's playground for the super-wealthy, Bulgari have just given the rich and the restless another excuse to blow a few thousand pounds of a weekend. Despite its fashionable credentials, the hotel is undoubtedly aimed at the high-rolling business traveller, rather than your average fashion girl-about-town, boasting one of the most expensive price tags in the city (rooms start from around £500 a night). The subtle decor is off-set by lots of glass and glossy surfaces, Italian silk and marble, with a lobby filled with elaborate flower arrangements (one for the Trophy Wives, we suspect). Find it: 171 Knightsbridge, London SW7 1DW, Tel: +44 (0)20 7151 1010, www.bulgarihotels.com
White 1921, St Tropez
Named after a particularly good year for champagne, LVMH's exclusive new boutique hotel in St Tropez is as sublime and under-the-radar as you would expect from a Parisian label. As the name suggests, the decor is dominated by clean, fresh white, which is the perfect colour to compliment the azure blue skies and Mediterranean sea. There's only eight guest rooms and they only take bookings between May and October, so get rich, and then get in there quick... Find it: Place des Lices, 83990 St Tropez, France, Tel: +33 (0)4 94 45 50 50, www.white1921.com
The Exchange, Amsterdam
Bucking the trend for using big name designers, The Exchange throws a fresh angle on the fashion hotel trend by working with graduates and students from the AMFI Amsterdam Fashion Institute. The result is completely original, and refreshingly uncommercial. Each room is individually styled around a theme or story, with inspiration ranging from Marie Antoinette's underskirt to a tailor's studio. The hotel is spread over three buildings and includes the cute cafe, Stock, which serves all-day breakfasts, locally brewed beers and delicious Frozen Dutch ice cream. Find it: Damrak 50 , 012 LL Amsterdam, Netherlands, Tel: +31 (0)20 523 0080, www.exchangeamsterdam.com
The Perfect 10: Fashion HotelsKarl Lagerfeld at the Hotel Metropole, Monte Carlo
Karl Lagerfeld has been tasked with over-hauling the exterior of this classic Monaco hotel, adding his signature flair for luxury to the pool and terrace area, as well as the hotel's new Joel Robuchon restaurant. Featuring heavily will be Lagerfeld's French model muse, Baptiste Giabiconi, who he re-imagines as something of a Greek Adonis, casting him as the main eye candy in a series of elaborate frescoes. It's not subtle, but it is the Kaiser. Find it: 4 Avenue de la Madone, 98007 Monte Carlo, Monaco, Tel: +377 93 15 15 15, www.metropole.com
The Bottega Veneta Suite at the Park Hyatt, Chicago
The cherry on top of the Chicago Park Hyatt's lavish makeover comes courtesy of Italian label Bottega Veneta, who have re-cast the Lake View suite in the image of their pared-back sophistication. Decorated with furnishings from the Bottega Veneta home range, the brand's signature woven leather technique is incorporated into the furniture and the rooms are a spectrum of calm, coffee colours and neutral tones. Find it: 800 North Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611, United States, Tel: +1 312 335 1234, www.parkchicago.hyatt.com
Dior Suite at the St Regis, New York
In the autumn of 2011, Avenue Montaigne met 5th Avenue in Room 1203 of the St Regis hotel in New York. Taking a lead from Dior's iconic Parisian atelier, the suite is painted in the label's signature dove grey, with original paintings by Dior Beauty artist Bil Donovan adorning the walls, and chandeliers dripping with crystals. It's impeccably tasteful and romantic, and steeped in historical references to the House of Dior. Find it: Two East 55th Street at Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10022, Tel: +1 212 753 4500, starwoodhotels.com/stregis
Hotel Missoni, Kuwait
The Missoni hotel franchise is becoming one of the most successful fashion-hotel hook-ups in the world and in 2011 the group added a Kuwait destination to their growing portfolio. Bubbling over with boho-colour and the brand's signature effervescent zigzags, the hotel is Missoni through-and-through, down to the hand towels in the bathroom and the fruit bowls in the lobby. The hotel is a typical Missoni family affair too, with Rosita having personally selected classic design objects to compliment the brand's home range, including pieces by Philippe Starck. Find it: Symphony Centre, Gulf Road, PO Box 113, Kuwait, Tel: +965 2577 0000, www.hotelmissoni.com
Vivienne Tam suite, at Hotel ICON, Hong Kong
Hong Kong-raised fashion designer Vivienne Tam modelled her suite design for the city's upscale ICON hotel on that of her New York apartment, letting guests in on her personal style, which, it has to be said, is rather like what we'd imagine a Manhattan architect's studio to look like. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views across Victoria Harbour in a nod to NY loft-living, with a sleek cherry wood desk positioned and poised for you to write your postcards soaking up the view. There are nods to Chinese tradition in the ceiling designed to resemble a Chinoiserie screen, in the pops of lucky red which accent the suite, and in the Swarovski-crystal customised artworks inspired by the Chinese Kun opera. Find it: 7 Science Museum Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong (SAR), Tel: +852 3400 1000, www.hotel-icon.com
Coming soon...The Harrods Hotel
When Mohammed Al Fayed sold Harrods to Qatar Holdings in 2010, it marked the end of an era, but also paved the way for the Harrods brand to go truly global. While fashion houses have been blurring the lines between retail and hospitality for a few years now, the Harrods Hotel will bring the concept full circle. Qatar Holdings have confirmed that they are currently looking into possible locations across a number of key cities including New York, London and Kuala lumpur. Details are still sketchy but we'd say it's a pretty safe bet to assume that racing green and gold will feature heavily. Watch this space. Find out more: www.harrods.com
