The Queen defied expectations (and by expectations we mean the bookies' odds) by wearing mint green for her appearance at Ladies Day at Royal Ascot.

HM was expected to wear blue for the third day of racing but was spotted flaunting the green ensemble as she arrived with her husband Prince Philip. Their entrance was as low key as you might expect:

Seems like a nice day out at Ascot..can't afford it though.....maybe one day...

Liz has nice gloves and tights...not sure about the main outfit though..

Where does Huff get this rubbish? The Queen turned up in whatever she wanted, looked very smart, some people bet on it and won or lost.
