Move over Rihanna, Katy Perry's gone and made herself a new showbiz BFF. The singer planted a kiss on new pal Cheryl Cole during a recording of The Graham Norton Show yesterday - much to the delight of the show's host.

The pair giggled their way through the TV interview - which was filmed in London last night - for which they were also joined by comedian Ross Noble. (Who we're sure a) couldn't believe his luck, and b) was very disappointed not to also get a kiss.)

And for once, Katy let someone else steal the limelight, stylishly speaking. The American popstar opted out of one of her standardly outlandish outfits, in favour of a ladylike monochrome maxi dress - while Cheryl went all out in houndstooth leggings and a matching leopard print peplum top.

Chezza also performed new single Call My Name for the studio audience.
