Royally Blue: Queen Kicks Off Jubilee Weekend With A Day At The Races

Get updates from Jen Barton:

Since the Queen is the star of the Diamond Jubilee Weekend, it's only fitting that all eyes were on her as she made her first appearance of the four-day celebrations at Epsom Downs Racecourse today with Prince Philip by her side.

Queen Elizabeth II was all smiles as she stepped out in a royal blue crepe wool coat by Stewart Parvin over a floral print white dress, topped off with a matching floral hat by Rachel Trevor-Morgan and HM's signature pearls and white gloves.

if you look it up on any family tree did you ask to be born into yor family??no nor did the queen she also didn't ask to be queen from around 10 she knew one day she would be queen as her uncle had stepped down which then forced her dad to become king, and if the uncle had married and had kids neither of them would of had a life of duty, you may think it looks easy and don't do much lets see how much you do in a day,the queen has to meet and greet 1000's per month carry out around 400 trips per year how many 86 year old people are doing that and not out of choice?its part of our history im proud that it easy but before making such comments maybe look beyond the end of your nose first

Hereditary privilege is immoral and totally wrong, particularly in the 21st century. This is 2012, not 1012!!!
