A little while back, we bought you the news that London-based designer Richard Nicoll was to collaborate with Topshop on a bridal collection, and we've been dying to see it ever since. Well, the wait is over (hurrah!) as the imagery has just been released...

Entitled 'Blushing Brides', the seven-piece collection marks Nicoll's first foray into bridal wear, and features a selection of delicate dresses in lace, crepe de chine and organza - plenty of sheer overlays and floaty shapes - all in a colour palette of white and pale shell-pink.

"I loved the idea of doing wedding dresses with Topshop because I wanted to offer a younger, cooler alternative to meringue culture," explains Richard.

"Something special, but not precious, like my friends - something they would wear if they were getting married. These pieces are perfect as party dresses too if you're not the marrying kind."

Well it's funny he should say that, because we were just eying a couple of these up for some summer soirees we've got in the diary...

The Richard Nicoll Blushing Brides collection lands in selected Topshop stores and online on 15th June. Check out the gallery below to see the full range, complete with prices.

oh my God they're hideous.

I understand not wanting to wear a meingue, but you want to look and feel special on your wedding day not wear a shapeless sack.
