 7 May: Leighton Meester in Marchesa at the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” Costume Institute Gala in New York This dress does nothing for Leighton, but it's the hair and makeup that really make this look flop on the red carpet.

 7 May: Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe at the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” Costume Institute Gala in New York Wow. The model's turbanned ensemble is breathtaking, and we love how well it pays homage to Schiaparelli's 1940s style.
Worst
 7 May: Anja Rubik at the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” Costume Institute Gala in New York When your hip bone is the talking point of the biggest fashion event of the year, you know you're not wearing enough clothing.

 9 May: Chloe Moretz in McQ Alexander McQueen at the European premiere of Dark Shadows in London So many young Hollywood actresses fall into the trap of showing too much skin far too young, so this feminine, refreshing look on 15-year-old Chloe Moretz feels just right.

 7 May: Coco Rocha in vintage Givenchy at the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations” Costume Institute Gala in New York Why Coco decided to dye her ends a shocking pink hue to team with her ensemble is beyond us, but the result is more carnival than Costume Institute.

 11 May: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge in Jenny Packham at the 'Our Greatest Team Rises - BOA Olympic Concert' in London Duchess Kate stepped out of her comfort zone with a bold pop of colour in this sexy-yet-elegant dress with sheer lace back and plunge V-neck. Refined and princess-perfect.
