Ginge gone PINK! Nicola's new 'do. Nicola Roberts/Instagram/Twitter
Nicola Roberts unveiled the new 'do on her Twitter page with the caption: "Ginge gone PINK!" The Girls Aloud star and front-row staple has been busy filming scenes from her new Sky Living fashion show, a search for the UK's next big designer, with designer co-host Henry Holland.

Nicola's neon pink strands look distinctly grungier than the hairdos we're used to seeing on the retro-loving singer, and her new style also looks shorter and curler than usual. Nicola's followers are already embracing the new look, with one fan tweeting: "@NicolaRoberts but still with a tinge of ginge, like a Fruit Salad, love it!"
Crazy-coloured hair hues are being embraced by celebs left, right and centre and pink looks to be especially popular with January Jones recently rocking a pale pink streak in her icy blonde locks and Dakota Fanning sporting a pastel pink dip-dye.

- Drew Barrymore
Perhaps in an attempt to grow out that two-tone look she'd been showcasing, Drew Barrymore ditched her blonde-tipped ombre locks, to try out life as a fiery redhead. We love the bold shade contrasted against her green eyes and light pink lip.

- Rihanna
Red (and curly) alert! Rihanna revealed a new statement hairdo at the American Music Awards 2010, which featured a russett hue and springy ringlets. Soft green eyeshadow was the ideal colour partner.

- Nicole Kidman
The ultimate red-haired queen, Nicole Kidman, once rocked a fiery mane, but now works with a softer auburn hue. We love her loose plait look.

- Cheryl Cole
The nation's sweetheart infused her trademark brown locks with a rich burgundy red, and showed them to full effect at the launch of her Madame Tussauds waxwork.

- Nicola Roberts
Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts ensured all eyes were on her (hair), when she arrived at the Cosmopolitan women of the year awards. Those orange-red locks (or may we say ginger?) and wide curls created a sizzling combination.

- Marcia Cross
With her crystal-clear alabaster complexion, Marcia Cross's golden-red tresses are the ideal hair hue.

- Isla Fisher
Our fave Home and Away-turned-Hollywood-star Isla Fisher has turned down the brightness of her flaming-red barnet to a demure dark auburn head of big-volume curls. We like.

- Julianne Moore
At the 20th anniversary of the Gotham Independent Film Awards 2010, Julianne Moore teamed her long-length terracotta tresses with matching eyeshadow, which also went with the print on her dress. It should have all been a bit much but, somehow, it wasn't – and it really worked.

- Christina Hendricks
Mad Men beauty Christina Hendricks must have had tongues wagging about her striking crimson hair at the opening of the House of Walker in New York. She softened the look with a gorgeous side-swept fringe, and made a different shade of red work on her lips. Very colour-clever.

- Lily Cole
Lily Cole's burnt sienna hue is understated yet striking, and her natural make-up ensured the locks did all the talking. So, why did you have to go and dye it brown, Lily?
