So when Imogen Thomas nipped out wearing leggings as trousers we have a sneaking suspicion that she knew exactly how sheer they were - at least on a subconscious level - when she paired them with a cropped top emblazoned with a hosiery slogan.

Several points:

1. Legging are not trousers. They just aren't.

2. If you go out in sheer leggings and do a bit of bending over there's really no need to make sure we can also see your knickers sticking out the top of said leggings.

3. Imogen owns (or knows someone who owns) a cat or dog with white fur.
