She's a whiz at pulling off the 70s look, and Jessica Alba gave a nod to the era again this weekend as she pulled on a pair of flared jeans and enormous wooden platforms.

The actress looked stunning in the smart-casual combo, which saw her team the throwback jeans with a spring-ready coral jacket.

A tan satchel bag and oversized sunnies finished the glam-hippie look - we just hope Jessica doesn't take a tumble in those vertiginous heels.

Only days later did she confirm our suspicions and <a href="http://www.mydaily.co.uk/2011/02/16/jessica-alba-pregnancy/" target="_self">announce that she was expecting a second child</a>.

 The postergirl for red carpet pregnancy, Jessica wore strapless Ralph Lauren for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, in NY. A jewelled necklace worn as a hair accessory, Ralph Lauren clutch and Casadei heels concealed beneath the gown completed the look.
