When you've got a body like Charlize Theron's, it seems kinda criminal to keep it covered up in a loose-fitting long black dress.

But that's exactly what the actress decided to do at the 2012 Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Gala at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in LA.

We've recently seen Charlize light up the red carpet in lemon lace Stella McCartney, baby pink Christian Dior, and eye-popping emerald green Krakoff.

So, while she could never look bad in anything per se, this look has left us yearning for the return of colour-embracing ensembles... What do you think?
