It's a brave women who pulls together converse sneakers, boyfriend jeans, a printed shirt, chunky necklace and a fur coat, but Lana manages it with aplomb, don't you think?

We named Lana one of our rising stars of 2012, and, controversy aside, she's not disappointed us. Have a look at our gallery below to see who else we were right about.
- Elizabeth Olsen
Younger sister to the Olsen twins, Mary Kate and Ashley, Elizabeth is already stepping out of her siblings' shadow and making a name for herself in the movie world. In fact, her performance in thriller Martha Marcy May Marlene has been generating Best Actress Oscar buzz since critics first clapped eyes on it!

- Elle Fanning
Elle - younger sister of Dakota - is only 13 years old and has already graced the cover of Elle UK and Teen Vogue as well as doing a spot of modelling for Rodarte and starring in several critically acclaimed movies. We're definitely keeping tabs on this young lady!

- Lily Collins
2012 is going to be all about the battle of the Snow White movies - in one camp you've got Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart and on the other, alongside Julia Roberts and Sean Bean, is the adorable Lily Collins in Mirror Mirror. We've had a peep at the costumes already and, well, we're EXCITED!

- Andrea Riseborough
Andrea has caught our eye a few times on the red carpet now thanks to her roles in films like Made In Dagenham, Never Let Me Go and Brighton Rock. But we reckon that the interest in Madonna's latest directorial effort, W.E. wherein Riseborough brings Wallis Simpson (and her frankly fantastic wardrobe) to the silver screen will bring her to the fashionista's attention.

- Chloe Moretz
Chloe Moretz has been popping up more and more frequently on our fashion radar during 2011 and we're thinking 2012 will see that trend continue.

- Felicity Jones
As well as gaining recognition for her acting skills (she was the proud recipient of the Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for her role in Like Crazy), Felicity Jones has been getting attention from high end designers. Towards the end of 2011 she was named at the spokesmodel for Dolce & Gabbana: The Makeup. That means we're now looking forward to a gorgeous 2012 ad campaign!

- Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey (a.k.a. Elizabeth Grant) is set to release her much feted debut album this January. Originally rocketing into our consciousness thanks to debut single Video Games achieving YouTube sensation status, this lady's first UK gig sold out in an astonishing 13 minutes. She's also been signed up by Next Model Management. Looks to be a quiet 2012 in the Del Rey household...

- Juno Temple
Actress Juno has been appearing in films since she was a child but we thing 2012 might be her red carpet year thanks to her reported inclusion in the cast list for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.

- Fyodor Golan
Design duo Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydman scooped the Fashion Fringe title in 2011 thanks to their superb Flowers of Evil collection. A few months later we spotted Tulisa wearing a custom-made dress by the pair on X Factor. We're hoping 2012 brings more celebrity red carpet love for the designers.

- Amber Heard
With 2011's The Rum Diary propelling Amber into the limelight (and into a million press junket interviews featuring the question "What was it like working with Johnny Depp?") we've been keeping an eye on the actress's red carpet style. Her look is somewhere between Keira Knightley and Scarlett Johansson so we're keeping our fingers crossed that the starlet maintains her momentum and becomes a regular at the fashion-filled events in 2012.

- Courtney Stodden
Slightly less of a 'one to watch' and more of a 'one we can't seem to stop looking at even though we're really trying'. In 2011 Courtney Stodden became the 16-year-old bride to Doug Hutchison's 50-year-old groom. Then followed a slew of disturbing photo opportunities, stripper heels and borderline pornographic tweeting. We thought the couple had peaked after being thrown out of a pumpkin patch for inappropriate behaviour but sadly Christmas rolled around and the pair re-emerged for a rather sordid and dry-humpy festive photoshoot. We're concerned they may try and outdo themselves in 2012...

- Rooney Mara
Rooney Mara is currently spending her time wearing a variety of excellent outfits at premieres of David Fincher's version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo around the globe. As rising star bets go, we reckon this one is pretty safe - especially given her character, Lisbeth Salander, stars in the remaining two films of the Millennium trilogy!
