No wonder Victoria Beckham was pictured looking a little weary yesterday: she's shown not one, but two collections during New York Fashion Week - her mainline range on Monday, and her secondary Victoria by Victoria Beckham line last night.

That's enough to make anyone look a tad tired around the eyes. (We applaud her for still standing.)

VB unveiled the second season of her younger, more affordable dress collection (which is NOT, she repeats, NOT a diffusion line) during an intimate salon presentation yesterday evening.
And verdict? We're expecting this little lot to just be as sell-out successful as the first season. (Pre-sales on Net-A-Porter were described as "unprecedented".)

With a slightly calmer, more muted colour palette for Autumn/Winter 2012, the youthful, unashamedly girlie aesthetic was still very much present - all pleated skirts, peter pan collars and whimsical prints - but mixed in with slightly more sobering shift dresses, all cuffed sleeves, rounded necklines and subtle graphic prints.

Elegant, affordable daywear, with a slight workwear sensibility: looks like the Victoria girl is taking step up on the career ladder this Autumn.

We certainly wouldn't say no to rocking up to the office in any one of these gorgeous frocks.
