Serious Hattitude: Oversized Headwear Ruled The Runway At Marc Jacobs

And when we say oversized headwear, we mean seriously enormous, all-encompassing hats stormed their way down the Marc Jacobs catwalk in New York. (In fact, we're puzzled as to how some of the models actually managed to walk in a straight line, seeing as we couldn't actually see their eyes...)

We have little doubt that the collection is going to divide catwalk watchers worldwide: it was eclectic, outlandish and downright eccentric - all things that we've grown to know, love (and somewhat expect) from the New York designer. And after staring at each and every look very intently for a while, we've decided we kind of love it.

Mismatched layering, exaggerated sillhouettes and tons of texture featured heavily, while padded tulip skirts and patterned dress coats were paired with metallic pilgrim shoes, chunky knitted scarves and brightly coloured totes.

Plus, of course, there were the hats...
