Eva Longoria has established herself as the leader of the 'fitted Victoria Beckham dress' pack, so it came as a bit of a surprise to see the Desperate Housewives star swap her usual outfit choice for a pair of leather trousers over the weekend.

Longoria donned the head-to-toe black outfit for an appearance at the Market America World Conference in Miami. Other than Miranda Kerr (and let's face it, no one can top her leather skinnies look), Eva is one of the few celebrities who has made leather trousers look sophisticated, by teaming them with a smart blazer and statement jewels.

However, her metallic sandals definitely take the 'dressed down' out of her 'dressed down chic' style. Perhaps a pair of simple stilettos would do the trick next time...
