Duchess Kate named 'Hat Person of the Year'
Kate Middleton has, we think deservedly, been crowned the Hat Person of the Year.
Her hat tricks and love of all things fascinator has earned her the title from The Headwear Association, with a whopping 91% of the vote, which was polled online, according to the Daily Mail.
The association was formed in 1908, and is one of the oldest - and most trusted - in the industry.
It is their third annual Hat Person of the Year award, with Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt being previous winners.
Since her engagement in November 2010, the Duchess has worn an array of stunning head pieces, and the 'Kate effect' has been hailed as giving the hat industry and designers a huge boost.
She has worn the likes of Philip Treacy, and Sylvia Fletcher of Lock & Co, and has raised profiles of smaller designers like Rose Cory, whose velvet scarlet hat she chose for Christmas Day church services.
