 31 December: Kris Jenner arrives at Tao Nightclub for a New Year's Eve celebration in Las Vegas It's one thing to work masculine suiting into your going-out repertoire (when executed successfully, it's hard to beat), but this feels costumey and the reality mum looks more like the waitstaff at Tao than the evening's hostess.
Best
 4 January: Meryl Streep in Stella McCartney at the European premiere of The Iron Lady in London Working a blue cocoon coat over a black dress on the blue carpet, Meryl was just the right mix of sophisticated and casual-cool. The gorgeous gold statment necklace is the perfect finishing touch to the look.
Worst
 31 December: Pamela Anderson attends the final New Year's Eve Bash at Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas While we're relieved that Pam actually wore clothes to ring in the New Year, the skintight nude dress she chose makes it apparent that she wished she hadn't bothered.

 4 January: Rachel Weisz in Alexander McQueen at the premiere of Millenium: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in Spain The star shows off her enviable hourglass curves in this figure-hugging LBD and looks amazing, proving that a stellar red carpet look isn't about all of the bells and whistles but a well-cut, beautifully designed item worn simply.
Worst
 1 January: Fergie attends a New Year's bash at the premiere of 1 Oak Las Vegas in Las Vegas Dressing like a disco ball for NYE? Is that really necessary?
Best
 4 January: Rooney Mara in Rodarte at the premiere of Millenium: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in Spain Even in a sombre palette of blacks and neutrals, Rooney knows how to wow on the red carpet and this look is another showstopper. We love the criss-cross detailling at the neck.
