Rooney Mara is relatively new to the red carpet, but she became our new favourite beauty crush at The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo premiere in New York this week. However, we've put her head-to-head with another leading lady who always wows us with her impeccable style - Ms. Scarlett Johansson.

Mara paired her backless Prabal Gurung dress with flawless makeup - perfectly painted on lipstick, thick, black lashes and a peachy blush on the cheekbones. To top it off, she also sported sleek, straight eyebrows - very on trend for next season. Her look was simple but seriously, seriously stunning.

Johansson also wowed us with her contrasting style at the premiere of We Bought A Zoo earlier this week. She sported the ultimate 40s roll updo teamed with smoky blue eyeshadow and nude gloss on the lips. Glam, gorgeous and very Scarlett.

MyDaily HQ: While we're always impressed by Scarlett's effortlessly glam looks, Rooney stole the show for us this week. She's definitely one to watch for 2012.

British Beauty Blogger: I have to admit I'm not loving Scarlett's look.. that grey/blue looks very heavy on her eyes and doesn't really bring out their colour at all, although I love the nude lip look. Rooney, on the other hand looks all things elegant.. it's a very sharp look that intensifies her eyes with lashings of mascara to give individual lashes a proper 'spike', and a sublime red lip, sculptured cheekbones - what's not to adore?
