Rooney Mara is a relatively unknown name in the UK, but she made her mark on London this evening as she hit the red carpet with co-star Daniel Craig for the premeire of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Mara, who plays Lisbeth Salander in the new film, was a vision in white as she stepped out in an embroidered Givenchy gown that was almost bridal-esque (without the waist and back cut-outs, obviously).

Her minimalistic look was complete with a blunt fringe, nude lipstick and smoky eye makeup. Yes, this is a unique red carpet style but surely it's refreshing to see something different from the fake-tan, cleavage-boosting norm?

The rising star was accompanied by Craig, who debuted an unshaven look for the occasion. We don't think Mr. Bond would have gone out like that...
