Stella McCartney And Emma Bunton To Star In Ab Fab Christmas Special

We did wonder quite what Jennifer Saunders was doing at Stella McCartney's Christmas party earlier this week, but now it all makes sense...

Jennifer rocked up to entertain the crowds at Stella's annual Christmas lights switch-on at her Bruton Street store, in guise as Ab Fab character, Edina Monsoon.

And now it emerges that Ms McCartney is repaying the favour, by appearing in the long-awaited Ab Fab Christmas special.

"It's not exactly my idea of fun, but it's Ab Fab , and how can you say no to Ab Fab?" Stella told the Daily Telegraph. "I'm sure I'll be terrifying, but, you know."

Emma Bunton (who was also at Stella's Christmas soiree) is joining the Christmas cast too, playing a friend of Edina's daughter, Saffy.

While the exact storyline is being kept tightly under wraps, it apparently involves Edina and Patsy (played by Joanna Lumley) taking a trip to the Stella McCartney boutique...

We. Can't. Wait.
