Country music's biggest names got their glad rags on for the annual CMA Awards last night, and we couldn't help but notice the trend for full-length (and really rather fabulous) gowns.

Teen singing sensation Taylor Swift went bridal in a beautiful white J Mendel design to pick up the award for Entertainer of the Year, while show host Carrie Underwood walked the red carpet in a glittering gold Reem Acra number (just one of her many, many costume changes!)

Nicole Kidman was playing the supportive wife to country crooning husband Keith Urban, in a dramatic gunmetal Jean Paul Gaultier gown, while Leann Rimes opted for ruffles in her shimmering Badgley Mischka dress.

Four lovely ladies, and four fabulous frocks. A favourite?
