Skyfall Photocall: So These Are The New Bond Girls, Eh?

Despite the fact that the office of 'Bond girl' is basically characterised first and foremost by physical attractiveness, it's not an opportunity to be missed in terms of getting a hefty profile boost to your screen career.

As such, we're always interested to see who makes the cut - not only because it's an iconic role with the promise of a ridiculous character name but also because it's interesting to see which type of female beauty is officially in vogue. Here's who made the grade for Skyfall:

Following in the footsteps of Quantum of Solace's Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton, we have Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris. Both were wearing safe single-colour dresses (so as not to outshine Daniel Craig, perhaps) but where Berenice had gone for poppy red, Naomie raided the Duchess of Cambridge's wardrobe of nudes and neutrals.

For the curious, here's a bit more about the pair:

You'll probably know Naomie from her role as Tia Dalma, the witch doctor and sometime sea goddess from the Pirates of the Caribbean films. Berenice is slightly less of a household name, certainly over here anway on account of her previous screen appearances being almost entirely restricted to French television.

Oh, and from the above picture we have surmised that heels, hips and a smile are still 'in'. Thank goodness for that!
