The new label - simply titled 'Karl' - is set to hit the digital rails in January, with prices starting at a purse-pleasing £52, and peaking at a not-completely-outside-the-realms-of-affordable £391. (Yessssssssss!)
"It's my today's taste and style and a reflection of how I think a great number of people would like to be dressed now," Karl told WWD.
"I just want not too expensive clothes that people may like and perhaps want to wear. That was my concept for a long time."
And unsurprisingly, the lovely folk at Net-a-porter are over the moon to be partnering with Lagerfeld on the launch.
"We are thrilled and proud to be the exclusive partner for the launch of Karl," Net-a-porter founder Natalie Massenet told Vogue. "From the moment we saw the collection we were hooked, and we can't wait to introduce this to a global fashion consumer for whom Karl Lagerfeld is an icon in his own right."
"The collection will speak to every woman who wants a bit of the inimitable fabulous street chic that Karl Lagerfeld is known for," she added.
We know what you're thinking. It'll be a five piece capsule collection, and it'll sell out instantly, and you'll miss out and feel terribly upset. But no! The collection is set to feature a whopping 100 pieces - spanning both daywear and eveningwear - so you've just as much chance to snap up a Karl creation as anyone else.
Finally, something in January to help us beat the post-festive blues...
While we wait, feast your eyes on Karl Lagerfeld's Macy's collection to get an idea of what may lay in store:
