Clinical whites, art deco regatta wear, jungle faux-hicans and sixties sheers were just some of the motifs explored over the last 24 hours of Milan Fashion Week. Add
Lindsay Lohan and
Gwyneth Paltrow into the mix and you've got yourself a MyDaily Dispatch. Click on the gallery below to bring yourself up to date with all the fashion week gossip:

The Show: Bottega Veneta

The Down-Low: Brights dominated the Bottega Veneta catwalk. Regal purples and striking reds arrived in a wide variety of textures, from floaty to fringy and were dressed up and down equally beautifully.

The Show: Philipp Plein

The Down-Low: Lindsay Lohan - the new face of Philipp Plein - popped along to the designer's show to join the front row (accompanied by an on trend messy side plait).

The Show: Jil Sander

The Down-Low: Taking on this year's enthusiasm for white, the Jil Sander show found inspiration in the faux-clinical whites of the beauty parlours and counters. The result (ignoring the odd neon paisley affair) was clean-cut chic.

The Show: Just Cavalli

The Down-Low: The younger Roberto Cavalli line was a flirtatious mixture of denim, animal print and sheer fabrics which sounds horrible on paper but in person became classy rather than trashy. Mostly.

The Show: Emilio Pucci

The Down-Low: Looks like Gwyneth Paltrow was being rather fashion forward with her Emmys outfit - her beaded Pucci gown is from the S/S 2012 collection. Her version took a more modest approach to lining though ( as in, there actually was some).

The Show: Emilio Pucci

The Down-Low: Sheer and sixties meets ruffles and gypsy. We're expecting the figure-hugging sheers to turn up on a fair few upcoming red carpets (lined to a greater or lesser degree, depending on the celeb).

The Show: Philipp Plein

The Down-Low: In keeping with his urban jungle theme, Plein's models hit the runway sporting a tropical floral twist on a mohican. Granted, it's not a look for the faint of heart but it's sure to get you noticed!

The Show: Emporio Armani

The Down-Low: "Just stepped out of a 1920s art deco regatta" was the driving force behind this monochrome collection. To recreate at home, edge all your white clothes in black and add a boater.
