From undone hairstyles to statement lips, we've been keeping an eye on the biggest trends to emerge backstage at
London Fashion Week. Take a look below to find out which looks we'll be coveting next season.
- Bold brows

Backstage at Sass & Bide, lead makeup artist Terry Barber told us that when it comes to eyebrows, "it's best to avoid anything too perfect".

He completed the David Bowie inspired look with sharp, straight brows, but if you're scared off by the severe style, look to Emilio de la Morena and Margaret Howell's softer, yet prominent shapes.

- Hot highlighters

Cheekbones were accented in all kinds of colours at the Spring/Summer London shows and when it comes to highlighters, Mac's Metal X was the star product of the week.

It was used to highlight the cheeks with a gold sheen at Sass & Bide and Peter Jensen, while Alex Box used a spray-paint effect to give the cheeks an ethereal glow at Vivienne Westwood. Over at Jean Pierre Braganza, Alex Byrne dusted the models' cheeks with a coral shade for sun-kissed radiance.

- It's all in the eyes...

Henry Holland celebrated a return to black eyeliner (thanks to Kate Middleton perhaps?), burnt, smokey shades were seen at Jaeger and it was all about the 60s inspired flick at Richard Nicoll. There's only one rule for next season - have fun with eyemakeup but go easy on the mascara.

- Undone hair

Undone hair was one of the biggest trends to emerge from London Fashion Week. Hair was left to waft down the catwalk at Michael Van Der Ham, Giles and Burberry. Go easy on the straightening irons next season.

- Statement lips

The statement red lip isn't going anywhere next season. A red wine inspired shade was smudged into the lips at Giles for a "just been snogged" look, while Mac's Red Pigment was the key product at Erdem's show.

For those that are brave enough to try something different, look to Mary Katrantzou's Spring/Summer show, where at least eight different lip colours (no pinks or reds allowed) were used on the models.
