Princess Beatrice has graduated from Goldsmiths University of London - and the Duchess of York could barely contain her excitement.

Proud parents Prince Andrew and Fergie were both there to celebrate, but it was the Duchess who came over a bit teary.

She had earlier posted on Twitter: 'Beatrice graduating today from Goldsmiths... So proud of her achievement. As all mothers/parents are, well done... All graduates.'

The princess graduated with a 2:1 in history and the history of ideas, and her achievement was seen as extra-special as she had been diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of seven.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Beatrice will not immediately seek full-time employment, but will, instead, embark on a series of internships to 'broaden her knowledge and experience to complement her position as a member of the royal family'.

According to the Daily Mail, these are likely to include work experience placements at organisations with links to business and philanthropy. She will also continue her work with Children in Crisis, the charity set up by her mother, and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

But it was all about celebrating yesterday as the family enjoyed bubbles and canapés on the lawn outside the uni, where mum Fergie showed off her bracelet with her daughter's name engraved on to it.
