Hot Or Not: Leona Lewis Debuts Darker Locks

Looks like Leona Lewis has been hitting the [hair dye] bottle to revamp her long locks as she began working the promo circuit for new single Collide.

The singer was spotted sporting her new darker do en route to the Capital Radio studios in central London. The change, combined with a scarlet mac, scarlet pumps and scarlet lipstick ensured the singer didn't fade into the background on the street.

Okay, so the hair thing isn't as big a change as Kate Bosworth dip dying her blonde locks green/blue but given Leona tends to err on the conservative side with things like hairstyles this is probably akin to someone else shaving their head and getting a tattoo.

Our verdict: We're completely on board with the new colour but we're in favour of giving her stylist free reign with the scissors and getting rid of a good eight inches - it's ended up a bit Kate Middleton meets Kim Kardashian.

Even without going for the chop we reckon she would have been better off following the current celeb trend for ponytails:
