Since taking up the helm at So You Think You Can Dance in the US, Cat Deeley has all but become America's sweetheart - and concequently, a regular on the Stateside party circuit.

And we couldn't be happier to have such a stylish, smiley ambassadress flying the flag for us Brits across the pond.

The presenter stood out from the crowds at the InStyle Summer Soiree in California last night, arriving straight from the studio in a cream strapless mini dress with bejewelled corset.

An elegant updo, her favourite silver strappy Jimmy Choos and a pop of red lippie completed the red carpet styling.

 Cat Deeley flew the flag for us Brits in a bejewelled strapless corset dress, teamed with her favourite silver strappy Jimmy Choos and a box clutch.

 Another Gleek in attendance, was the lovely Jayma Mays, who seriously wowed us in the style stakes. The redhead showed off her perfect pins in a thigh-grazing sugary pink Zuhair Murad mini dress with glittering embellishments. Gorgeous.

 Another actress who's on a style high at the moment, is The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco. Fresh from her appearance as hostess at the <a href="http://www.mydaily.co.uk/2011/08/08/teen-choice-awards-2011-red-carpet/" target="_blank">Teen Choice Awards</a>, the star hit the InStyle soiree in this super-cut ruffled LWD.

 Gossip Girl's resident bad girl added a bright pop of colour to her outfit with the addition of a neon pink blazer. Smart styling.

 If you're not yet familiar with Jessica Chastain, you soon will be: she stars in The Tree of Life opposite Brad Pitt. The actress opted for a time-honoured Little Black Dress with elegant lace-trim.

 We love that Rose McGowan is never afraid to embrace colour - and case in point was her Summer Soiree styling. The star paired her bright tangerine silk Alberta Ferretti dress, with a contrasting turquoise statement necklace.

 We're aware that this look is going to be an opinion divider, but we can't imagine anyone making the tom-boy look appear quite as glam as Diane. Her Jason Wu ensemble of short shorts, blue blazer and bow-tie were paired with what we're naming as our Heel of the Day. From head-to-toe, we love.
