Katie Holmes indulged in a spot of self-promotion at the New York premiere of Don't Be Afraid of the Dark last night.

And no, we're not referring to her pushing her new horror movie (that's somewhat standard Hollywood behaviour), we're referring to the fact that she was wearing a dress from her very own Holmes and Yang clothing collection.

Katie teamed her simple Little Black Dress with the shoe of the moment - a nude court - plus some seriously glossy brunette curls.

Katie stars in Don't Be Afraid of the Dark alongside Guy Pearce, Alan Dale and child starlet Bailee Madison.
