The 66-year-old actress (whose success will come as no surprise to those of us who saw her pictures for Esquire magazine) came top in a poll of 2,000 men and women conducted on behalf of LA Fitness gym chain.
Dame Helen took first place in the survey ahead of her nearest rival, Elle Macpherson with 17.65% of the vote compared to Elle's 10%. Kelly Brook came in a respectable third with Jennifer Lopez and Cheryl Cole just behind.
LA Fitness marketing director, Tony Orme, said of the results: "Helen Mirren's victory in our Best Body poll illustrates how, when it comes to body maintenance and well-being, age really is nothing but a number."
Unsurprisingly the male version of the poll saw David Beckham coming out on top ahead of Daniel Craig and Johnny Depp.
