The Queen and Prince Philip joined David and Samantha Cameron for a Downing Street photocall this afternoon in celebration of the Prince's 90th birthday - but as soon as we set eyes on Sam's striking frock, we knew it rang a bell...

It looks as though the PM's wife might have been inspired by her recent appearance at the Scottish Fashion Awards, as she chose to wear a dress by Scottish Designer of the Year winner, Jonathan Saunders.

And it's clear that this frock really is a favourite of SamCam's, as she first wore it to co-host a Downing Street BBQ with the Obamas, less than a month ago.

We wonder if she was taking a leaf out of Kate's style book? The Duchess of Cambridge was seen out and about last week wearing the same outfit that she'd worn to a wedding two years previously.

And bravo we say! Here's hoping more celebs start following suit.
